Here is an interesting project I have been working on: A 126 page book of original collages, drawings, writings and weird ideas. It's called the Flying Bar-B-Que, and was made for my nephew. Enjoy all of it here:
Born in Seattle in the late seventies, Tim Manthey has been creating strange visual art for over thirty years. After years of drawing, journaling and producing surreal lo-fi video collages for public access TV, In 2009, he picked up a pair of scissors and a stack of vintage magazines rescued from a library dumpster. He began composing weird handmade collages. The collages quickly evolved into a series of whimsically disturbing dream narratives, which Tim shows at different venues around Seattle. His collage work has since been featured on the cover of Seattle's The Stranger, National Geographic's Photo Society, Design-milk, BOLO Magazine, The Panhandler, and will be featured in the book Modern Vintage Illustration in 2012. Tim continues to create artwork on a continual basis, updating his blog weekly with new images, doing commissioned pieces, and hanging shows in Seattle.
